Complete Redesign of Gardens around an Old Hop Kiln
Challenge
Having been commissioned to redesign design the entire gardens for this property, the main challenge was to over come the steep bank of this site. The client brief included various seating areas to take in the views from the top of the garden, lots of planting, a vegetable garden and room for a small summer house. Detailed specification and tender documents were used for the selection of a Landscaping company. Project management for this build carried out by Tony Wright.
Value
This project totally transformed the garden that had challenging slopes and required the removal of over 150 tonnes of subsoil. A bespoke pergola was commissioned made from thick steel plate and left to the elements producing a rich red rust colour and a large six tiered waterfall built with purbeck stone created a central feature through the garden.
